Hey, Babes! It’s time for our first Girls Night Recipe together and boy do we have something fantastic for you. This Saturday, June 10 is National Rosé Day, so we decided to make Rosé gummies from scratch! Oh, and did we mention we're making them pineapple-shaped?! These are Florida-style Rosé gummies. This recipe is inspired by Sugarfina’s cute & delicious “Rosé All Day Bears”, which we finally tried recently and are absolutely smitten with. The Rosé that Sugarfina uses to make their signature bears is Whispering Angel, so we figured what better Rosé to use than this one, right? We also took inspiration from this Rosé gummy recipe by The Kitchn and this one by Cooking with Janica. We made our recipe a little boozier and added a few extra steps to help keep you on track as you’re making this. Keep in mind that your gummies will be thicker than jello but not as firm as gummies you’d buy at a store. They’re super cute & very tasty, though. ;) We hope you enjoy them at your next girls night.
This recipe made exactly 56 gummy pineapples or 4 trays worth. Depending on the size of your gelatin tray, you could end up making more or less gummies. This recipe will take 30 minutes to prepare and at least 3 hours to solidify before it's ready to enjoy.
2 1/4 cups of your favorite rosé
1/4 cup of powdered gelatin
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 drops of red food coloring
Step 1: Bring 1 cup of Whispering Angel Rosé to a simmer on medium heat in a saucepan.
Step 2: While the rosé is heating up, add 1 cup of rosé in a medium-sized bowl. Gradually mix in your powdered gelatin and stir until fully combined. Let sit for 5 minutes. Use a spoon to scoop out any large chunks of gelatin that did not mix fully. If needed, add a little more powdered gelatin and stir in.
Step 3: Add your sugar to the simmering rosé. Then add the gelatin mixture. Lower the heat slightly and stir until fully combined. Add a 1/4 cup of Rosé for a little extra kick and stir. Add 2 small drops of red food coloring and mix thoroughly. Remove from heat and reserve.
Step 4: Set your trays up close together so that you can easily scoop the mixture to fill each slot. Pour the mixture into a clean measuring cup to easily transfer it to your shaped slots. For a size similar to our pineapple shapes, each slot should take about three teaspoons. Use a pipette or a teaspoon to fill the slot and push the mixture into the crown of each pineapple. Carefully place filled trays in the fridge for 180 minutes. Be sure that they're lying flat.
Step 5: Once the gummies have reached your desired firmness (the longer you let them chill, the firmer they'll be), carefully remove each pineapple shape by pressing the bottom half of the slot inside out. Be careful with the crowns— they’re more likely to break off at the edges than the lower half of the pineapple. Don’t worry, though! You will have some perfectly shaped pineapple gummies.
Step 6: Once you’ve peeled all of your gummies out of the trays, arrange them on the serving plate or stand of your choice. We recommend you enjoy them with a glass of sparkling water instead of a glass of Rosé, because these little gummies are very boozy! However, you and your girls should enjoy them however you see fit. Cheers.
