Happy Mugs Monday, Boss Babes! We hope your weekend was a relaxing one and that Sunday night brought you excitement about the week to come. But if you’re feeling heavy, we're hear to say we’re completely with you and that it happens to all of us sometimes. Something we want to talk about is mindfulness. There are lots of ways to think about mindfulness and relate it to what you do, but the way we’re going to discuss it today is with bread-making. We were lucky to attend a blogger event at Petit Piquant this past weekend and to spend our night with the very welcoming, Chef Rosana Rivera & Chef Ricardo Castro. Chef Ricardo is the baker of this talented duo and he taught a group of us (see below!) how to make fresh baguettes. Chef Ricardo had prepared the dough before we got there and described the process to us of what it takes to make a delicious baguette. It takes time and patience and there’s no way to compromise on either. The process can’t be rushed and if it is, you’ll be able to tell and you won’t be putting your best product forward. All of us can relate to this with our work. Being mindful of what we’re doing and knowing our processes inside & out will help us to create the best outcomes for our business. When you know you are doing your best and that you have put in the necessary time and ingredients, then negativity can’t touch you. Remember that you are making your best baguette, that you are familiar with this process, and that you will succeed because you’ve planned for it.
Thank you for sharing some Monday morning motivation with us and we hope that if you’re local to Tampa Bay, you’ll stop in at Petit Piquant and say hello to Chef Ricardo & Chef Rosana. Who says you can’t have your bread & eat it, too? ;) Have a fantastic day & let us know what you’re looking to accomplish this week in the comments below and on Instagram, FB, & Twitter. We love celebrating steps forward.
