Dream Big, Caffeinated Dreams

Happy 4th of July Eve & Mugs Monday! We hope you’re sleeping in & enjoying your favorite summer foods this weekend. It’s a shorter week for many of us, but we still have goals! Tell us about yours in the comments below and on social media. We’re planning on finalizing our July recipe & Top Knot Tuesday learning posts today AND we’re gonna finish editing this week’s Boss Babe feature. ;)

Since we binge-watched Riverdale ALL DAY on Saturday, throughly enjoyed Black Crow Coffee Co & Brocante Market with Market Mafia on Sunday morning, AND had a pastry tasting at Petit Piquant on Sunday afternoon with Live.Sweat.Sleep.Repeat, we’re gonna do some werkwerkwerk today.

OH! And speaking of goals, we want to make a list this week of Boss Babes we’d love to interview one day. We love featuring Boss Babes who make our communities interesting & strong and feature someone new each Wednesday! We also think it would be amazing to get to feature the Boss Babes who have helped shape us into who we are today-- the ones who have written our favorite books, albums, & one-liners. It’s important to write things down & be intentional. This way your goal is much more likely to succeed because you’ve acknowledged it aloud. So, out of respect for your work & self, you’ll find a way to make it happen! Right now we have:

Misty Copeland

Misty has made history as the first African-American female principal dancer for the the American Ballet Theater and she only began dancing at the age of 13. She was dancing professionally just a year later and is continuing to make history.

Joanne Rowling

Joanne has taught us about so many things through her stories of Hogwarts and the boy who lived; friendship, bravery, kindness, and of course, magic. If that weren't enough, her quote "rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life" is an endlessly inspirational subject.

Grimes is a Canadian musician and produces her own music & directs her own videos. Her pop music is beautiful, honest, feminist, & completely her own.

Julia Roberts as Elizabeth Gilbert in "Eat, Pray, Love".

Elizabeth Gilbert

She’s Elizabeth Gilbert. :P And the author of "Eat, Pray, Love". She's inspired women across the world to be their truest self and to love whoever & whatever they'd like. Her podcast “Magic Lessons” and book “Big Magic” inspire us daily.

Glenn Doyle Melton

Glennon is the Founder of Momastery and is a best-selling author. She’s real and raw and just about everything that comes out of her mouth or keyboard will resonate with you.

Anna Wintour

Anna’s career is legendary and so is her way of seeing her vision through.

Elsie Larson & Emma Chapman

Elsie & Emma are the ladies behind A Beautiful Mess, a colorful & wonderful DIY blog. Their business has created top-selling iPhone apps, subscription boxes, & books. They’re amazing and it’s been fantastic watching their business grow over the past 7 years since we started reading their blog. There can never be enough A Beautiful Mess.

Jaclyn Johnson

Jaclyn is the CEO of Create & Cultivate, an inspirational & exciting resource for creative women entrepreneurs. We can’t wait to attend a C&C conference next year.

Jenny Lewis

Jenny has created music for every era of our life. From Rilo Kiley to Jenny & Johnny, to Jenny Lewis on her own, we're destined for beauty & fun.

Gretchen Rubin

Gretchen had a career in law and was a clerk for Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor before she decided to give writing, her true passion, a go. Her book “The Happiness Project” was life-changing and she continues to be an inspiration with her podcast and recent published books.

Tanya Hennessy

Tanya is hilarious Aussie. Her Facebook & YouTube videos will make your day. You’ll never be able to stop laughing at her shouting, “THE JELLY BEANS ARE NOT TO BE SHARED” in her “Relationships - The Beginning and Now” video.

Jenna Marbles

Jenna is a YouTube OG. She’s built a following of 17 million subscribes over the last 7 years and she continues to find new ways to be hilarious & ridiculous.

Rosie O’Neill

Rosie is a former executive for Barbie and the co-creator of your favorite gummy treats at Sugarfina. She’s been successful in two completely different worlds & we find that to be ah-mazing.

Tegan & Sara

Tegan and Sara Quin are basically the coolest twins on the planet & we’ve been listening to their music long before we started interviewing musicians and creatives back in 2007. They’re not only inspiring for musical reasons, but they’re also out & proud LGBTQ allies.

The Meringue Girls

We would love nothing more than to bake with Stacey O’Gorman & Alex Hoffler. But we’d settle for just an interview. :P It’s been amazing watching their careers grow & become even more colorful over the years. It was an absolute pleasure to see their sweets at Selfridge’s Food Hall in London when we visited last year. #nomnomnom

Chelsea Handler

Chelsea speaks her mind when some of us cannot. She’s wonderful in every way and we can’t watch enough of her show's clips on Youtube late at night.
