Meet Kallie & Lindsay Wesley!

We’re so excited for you to get to know the sisters behind Juxtapose. Kallie & Lindsay Wesley are from Lexington, Kentucky. They’re 3 years apart. Kallie will ask you to guess which sister is older and you will most likely guess wrong. ;) We did. The Wesleys moved to Tampa after finishing college to open their shop and Tampa was the city they chose because they adored Hyde Park Village. The Village is diverse and filled with jewelry, clothing, home goods, & more. This is what they wanted to create— a boutique that was made up of products they could stand behind and that accommodated each facet of their customer’s lives— fashion, home decor, accessories, art, and whatever Kallie & Lindsay come across that they think you’ll fall in love with. We hope you enjoy their story & their words.

P.S. If you’re local to Tampa, we’re hosting a Pop Up at Juxtapose tonight, 9/27 from 6 to 8 p.m. Meet The Wesley sisters, enjoy some bubbly, & meet local Boss Babes. Details here.

Tell us about yourself and what you do!

Kallie: I'm Kallie co-owner of Juxtapose. We are a lifestyle boutique that focuses on unique gifts to outfit you and your home!

Lindsay: Hi, Im Lindsay, Kallie’s sister and business partner.

How did your business begin?

Kallie: We both have an art background and wanted to put that to use. We had a love for fashion and design, and so Juxtapose came about naturally.

Lindsay: We started Juxtapose 6 years ago in Hyde Park Village. We wanted a shop that encompassed all the things we love: art, fashion, and interiors.

What’s 1 challenge you’ve faced and 1 success you’ve had since you’ve created your business?

K: A challenge has been gaining a presence in a new area and receiving repeat business. A success has been growing our studio side into an interior design service.

L: Time management has been something Kallie and I constantly working on. Between two stores and two personalities, it's important we stay organized and stick to a schedule.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received and has it come in handy for you?

K: Be stubborn about your goals and flexible about your methods. I think with business, eb and flow occurs and not getting weighed down by day to day, but thinking bigger picture is hard!

L: When you don't have the answer for something… pray about it!

When are you at your happiest?

K: When I'm with my family.

L: Same.

What do you tell yourself when things get difficult?

K: Shift happens.

L: This too shall pass.

What are you grateful for?

K: When I look around myself, I feel so blessed I get to live this life!

L: I'm grateful to get to do what I love with my sister! How cool is it to share something with a family member?

What’s 1 personal goal and 1 business goal you plan to accomplish this year?

K: My personal goal to work on maintaining friendships and my business goal is to focus on building our creative and studio side.

L: My personal goal is to work on time management. I'm getting married in April and would like to get through the next couple months and be sane. My business goal is to focus on customer outreach.

Where can you be found on a Tuesday afternoon?

K: Tuesday afternoon you can find me at our Hyde Park Village location or Sundial St. Pete shop location!

L: Tuesday, we are at the shops. We take turn going back and forth between Tampa and St. Pete.

How about on a Friday evening?

K: Friday evening you could find me watching a movie and having a glass of wine with my dog and my boyfriend!

L: Friday evening I love to have dinner out!

A Sunday morning?

K: On Sunday AM I'm in the yard. This homeownership thing is no joke!

L: On Sunday AM I love to have brunch!
