Good morning, Boss Babes! I have just the thing that’ll make your day boss & bright… that thing is the attitude and kindness of Sheila Vaske, Owner of V’Enza Creations. Sheila is originally from Warwick, Rhode Island but has always wanted to live in Florida. She’s tried the move three times, but the first two times didn’t stick! Finally, 2.5 years ago she relocated to Tampa Bay with her two competitive skater-daughters and she hasn’t looked back. Sheila’s story focuses on patience & staying true to yourself— two things we could all use a lot more of.

Her home in Seminole Heights is like something out of a magazine— which shouldn’t surprise you because she’s a creative designer and is committed to beautiful spaces when she’s on & off the clock. Meet Tona Bell!

Meet Tona Bell!

Hello Boss Babes! We hope you’re having a fantastic week & are ready for a Boss Babe Feature with the amazing Tona Bell. Tona is the woman with the vision behind The Paper Seahorse, an oasis of paper, letter writing, & crafting in South Tampa. She’s supportive, brilliant, & gives the best hugs. Tona opened The Paper Seahorse in October of 2015, a big departure from her previous role as Co-owner of Tricycle Studios, a marketing agency she launched with her husband 22 years ago. Tona’s biggest advice for small business owners is to be true to your vision, and in order to be true to your business’ vision, you have to be true to yourself: listen to your self and your body and do what’s best for you. Make big decisions. Don’t let fear hold you back. And surround yourself with friends & family who love and support you no matter what. Without further ado, enjoy Tona’s words!

Reflecting on an Amazing 2017

Reflecting on an Amazing 2017

Hey, Boss Babes! I hope you’re having a great day no matter how your to-do list is behaving. ;) I wanted to share some updates on what we’ve been up to. We’ve been gearing up to launch our first ever membership, Babe Crafted. December 6 is National Microwave Oven Day and National Gazpacho Day, so naturally it made sense for the perfect launch date. Kidding! I love Gazpacho soup, but the date made sense for lots of other more sensible reasons. We have our final event of the year taking place tonight at Strands of Sunshine from 6 to 8 p.m. (RSVP here!), we’re exactly 6 months old, & we’re 3 weeks away from our public launch of the membership in January.

Meet Danielle Ferrari!

Meet Danielle Ferrari!

Hey, Boss Babes! Meet Danielle Ferrari of Valhalla Resale. I met Danielle at our launch party in June at Hazel + Dot. She’s kind, a fabulous listener, & she’s created something awesome. We’ve all had those “I have nothing to wear moments”, and Danielle has worked hard to create a ‘collective closet’ where we can feel comfortable in our own skin while we shop for unique clothing that we can borrow or purchase. Something many of us might not be aware of is that the fashion industry is the second largest cause of pollution in the world. Danielle's passion is to help change that & it's led to creating a business based on sustainable fashion with the ability to do what she loves. I’m so excited to introduce you to Danielle. Enjoy her words.
