Hiii Boss Babes, it's Sarah! Yay for Friday!
Sidenote - I love writing posts on a Friday. It gives me a chance to look back on my week & see all the things I've accomplished. Plus, it gets me excited for the weekend! I'm sure you feel the same way about Friday-specific things on your to-do list. Does anyone have any fun plans? Share in the comments what you're up to this weekend!
We've had such great feedback from last week's Friday Favorites & I'm so excited that you're on board with this new series. Today, I'm adding in some local faves for Boss Babes who are looking to branch out & mix things up from their regular hang out spots.
I love social media, but it's always changing! There's always some new feature to figure out. If you're looking to stay on top of what's new with Instagram and hear how other business owners & Boss Babes use it, you can hear from our curated panel at Cavu on February 14 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. We'll get to know how The Paper Seahorse, Tampa Indie Flea, Bake'n Babes, & more stay sharp. Details here.
This new Tampa hot spot has been in the works for quite some time now & they finally opened a couple weeks ago. The wait was well worth it! From the moment you walk into the building, you feel the energy & just know that this place is going to become a go-to for all things food & fun. Check out all the details about their concept here. I have only tried the coffee from Union Coffee (which was delicious btw) but I will most definitely be back sooner rather than later for some yummy eats.
Target has recently revamped their clothing section, adding a couple new designers & now making it even harder to just leave the store with that "one" item you went for in the first place. It's hard to even say this, but I didn't own a denim jacket until this week & my life has been changed! I've worn it three days in a row. This is the exact one I bought, by Common Threads. It's not too oversized or too small-- it's a perfect size. The color is great & the material is super soft and wearable. I highly recommend, but try not to go too crazy, the clothing section right now is closet goals.
This uber affordable range of wine from Charles Shaw Wines found at Trader Joe's is my favorite! The $2.99 price may make you question the quality of the wine, but it is delicious! A Cabernet Sauvignon bottle is in my cart every single week. If you are in the market for a good, cheap wine, be sure to check out this option!
I've been listening to this health & wellness podcast for a while now, it's on my subscribed list. Jessica discusses all things health, focusing mostly on plant-based eating, I really enjoy her podcast. I recently listened to an episode that featured Dr. Judith Orloff author of the book The Empath's Survival Guide. They discuss what it means to be an empath, & proven coping strategies to deal with it. Being an empath myself, I related to almost all of the discussion & it inspired me to purchase the book myself! Also, I learned some great tricks on how to handle personalities that are unlike your own.
It's a "vintage flower truck on wheels"! This is one the cutest things I've ever seen. If you're into keeping up with what's new & exciting in Tampa Bay, then I'm sure you've seen this blue, little truck around. They do pop-ups at events, & have a stationary spot in the parking lot across from Oxford Exchange every Thursday. Check out their calendar to see exactly where they'll be next & be sure to snap a couple photos with their flower truck, aka, the perfect Instagram background.
It's finally here! If you're a Parks & Rec fan then you know all about Galentine's Day & how much Leslie Knope loves it. Come hang at with us, Bake'n Babes, & Kofe and "remember what's important in life: friends, waffles, and work. Or waffles, friends, and work. Doesn't matter, but work is third." We'll have a DIY Belgian waffle bar, Insta-worthy lattes, & good vibes. Details here.
Thanks for sticking around through another Friday Favorites! Have a great weekend, catch ya soon, & stay boss.
